Default Clutch break in period--- possible shudder??

I just had a new performance clutch put in to replace the stocker. Im on mile 40 of the 500 mile break in period. Ive been taking it really easy, but when im taking off in 1st, just slowly easing out the clutch, i get some shudder. The whole car kinda shakes, almost like if I was dropping the clutch without giving it enough gas. I was told this was part of the break in period, and would go away during the break in. Any experince with this? Thanks.

Seen it happen. I'd give it to 100 miles before being concerned.

If your clutch uses a metallic, kevlar, or sintered iron material they are going to be more aggressive on takeoff. Depends on your gearing, but usually a little more rpm on takeoff will allow you to learn a smooth transition.

That's your problem, don't confuse driving the car easy during break-in with letting out the clutch easy that will only F it up. On 1st gear starts let it out til you feel it start to grab and just let it go. Practice in a parking lot a few times. Once you get the hang of it, it's not bad. You will be driving your car that way from this day forward. Performance clutches DO NOT drive at all like stockers.

the clutch is a centerforce dual friction.

when the clutch was replaced they resurfaced the flywheel, put a new slave cylinder, replaced throw out bearing, replaced pilot bearing.

thanks again

That clutch shouldn't chatter at all.

my centerforce clutch does the same thing.it does not go away after the break in period(it will lighten up alittle).it dont chatter much ,you have to get the rpm's up when taking off.if i raise the rpm's up to 1,500 on take off it's pretty smooth. basically, get used to the new set up.nothing is as smooth as stock, but then again stock sucks. goodluck to ya.

Give it 500 miles to break-in, then start getting on it hard. If it still chatters at 750miles, then start to worry.
