Default Clutch break in

I have a brand new RPS clutch and brand new master cylinder and slave cylinder and the clutch has a little bit of a hard time disengaging. We have bleed the clutch four times so there is no air in the system. After talking on the phone with RPS they told my that the clutch needs 500 miles to break in and it will tighten up and then will be able to fully disengage without any problem. Does everyone believe in this or have heard of this. I know there is a larger shim we can install so it will help the disengaging, but my tranny has been in and out of the car five times in the last six months so we are hoping the 500 mile breakin will take care of the disengaging.
