I think they are 1/2 inch pipe thread (I'm almost certain, but I'd have to get back under the car and look one more time before I swear to it).

how about the thread dimension thingy? you know the thread pitch and what not.
i'm planning on putting in a tranny cooler ( call me **** ) to cool the fluid down.

Not ****...Im just waiting for the warrenty to run out. Tilton makes a great pump that will do the job, it's about $200 from www.truchoice.com.
1/2 inch pipe thread is a "thread pitch"...if you ask for a 1/2 inch pipe thread tap, they will all be the same....it is a tapered tap so the fitting gets tighter when it is installed and tightened. (I'm still not absolutely sure it's 1/2 inch...but I think it is....if I get a chance, I'll take a look).
