how to remove shift know i know this maybe the stupidest question to ask, but how do you remove the shift ****? im turning it but it doesnt feel like its going anywhere (maybe its stripped

) any and all help would be appreciated The **** probably came loose from the threaded portion. Last time I saw this I think I ended up having to trash the stock ****. Then I was able to twist the the threaded part off.

Verdad Gallardo Try to peal the leather back from the bottom. You might be able to get it off far enough to grab the threaded part of the **** with some pliers. At least I think that's how I did it, but it has been a while...
i would say the leather wrapped part was loose and that was probably what was spinning. i had the same prob, i just gave it a good GI Joe Kung Fu Grip and took the shifter ball off
How did you get it off? I don't know if my shifter stick is jacked up, but I can spin just the rod and the shift **** just spins with it. I also can't get the shift **** off either, it just spins around and around independent of the shift rod.
