GTO vs F-Body M6 questions...
Are there any differences between a GTO and a 98+ F-body 6 speed? I guess what Im really asking is, can I swap a GTO M6 into my 98 T/A? Does anyone know if the hydraulics are the same as well?

Search for mn12. I think there is a guy on here that put one in recently. It has a different shifter cup but I don't know what all is needed for the swap. Gear ratios ar different also...

The mn12 has better blocker rings, as in it has triple cone blockers rings in 1st and 2nd, and 3rd, 4th ,5th , and 6th all have double cone blockers. What does this mean you say. It means that you have twice the surface area for the speed gears to be slowed by. Ie faster smoother shifts. A GTO trans will make a huge difference in a bolton F-body, more gear ratio to get the car moving. The mn12 are not any stronger than the normal f-body trans.

I recently installed a 2006 GTO tranny in my Camaro. You can bolt the GTO tranny to the Camaro bellhousing and use the Camro starter. If you use the GTO bellhousing, you have to use the GTO starter.
You have to swap over the Camaro offset lever, but the tailhousings are are the same.
