bye bye clutch

bye bye clutch
So I finally let the car loose after having some goodies installed. Yikes, it pulls like a mother (ok not that fast, but still). And what do you know... My stock clutch is on the last stages of its life with 51k on it anyways, and this didn't help.
After I got out of it near the top of fourth, I didn't have a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd gear. So I limped home using 4th-5th-6th. Lots of vibration when in neutral, there was no way it was going into 1st-3rd gear. When I got home I put it in R, and then all of the sudden 1st-3rd open up and it seemed to be fine. What is that?
My other question is, how hard is it to replace synchros? My 4th gear sychros are gone. Any install documents anywhere?

Re: bye bye clutch
Do you have the !CAGS mod? If not, it is quite possible that the lock-out solenoid got stuck out in the path of your shifter. Not sure exactly how it works, but I know there's also a reverse lock-out solenoid and I'm guessing it could be possible that they're related in some way that when you pushed into reverse, the other one disengaged either electrically or just from some kind of mechanical jolt. Sorry I can't help you more.

It's alright. The !cags was on my car when I bought it used.
I've been told the transmission needs rebuilt. I don't know though, I don't understand how my tranny would go out, but I don't think my clutch is bad after all.
