Default Clutch Problem on '02 with 500 miles

I first thought it was the transmission, but discovered today that it has to be the clutch.

This car won't shift when sitting still, downshifting, or at high rpm's (over 5k). Sitting in the drive-thru today I noticed that the car likes to move itself with the clutch on the floor if it is in gear. Hence, clutch isn't disengaging properly, or at all for that matter.

Any ideas what would cause this? Easy to fix or do I need to go argue with the dealer about fixing the hydraulics (I'm *****uming this is the problem)?

Thanks for the help.

BTW, I doubt that it just needs to be broken in. It is getting worse and worse as I drive it more.

THERE IS A SLIGHT AMOUNT OF ADJUSTMENT ON A STOCK CLUTCH, IT INVOLES A STEPPED AND TAPERED PIECE ON THE PRESSURE PLATE, I DONT REMEMBER THE PROCEDURE EXACTLY OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD. IT "COULD" BE THAT OR SLAVE CYLENDER PROBLEM, EITHER WAY IF IT ONLY HAS 500 MILES AND IS 2002 FOR CHRIST'S SAKE TAKE IT TO A DEALER AND MAKE THEM FIX IT RATHER THAN SPENDING YOUR HARD EARNED DOLLAR, GET IT FIXED ON GM'S DIME NOT YOURS

You don't have to yell, it makes my ears hurt!

Anyway, I wasn't planning on spending a dime... But if it is some simple adjustment that could be done I would consider it worth my time to fix it on my own.

I talked to the dealership today, it will be going in for immediate attention on Thursday morning.
