Default Major Hydrolic Issue With 02 Z28

Guys,

I have a major problem with the hydraulic system on my camaro. When I was backing out of my driveway one morning, all of the sudden the clutch gave out and the car moved backward with the clutch paddle still on the floor. Then the clutch paddle became really hard to push and it will not allow me to put it into gears. It seems like there is something binding in the hydraulic system or the pressure plate just gave out. I try bleeding the system and it did not work. The paddle pressure is about 4 to 5 times harder to push compared to normal. What do you guys or gals think the cause of this is? I do not abuse the car or drop the clutch from high rpm. I only have 40K on the car.

Thanks,
Walter

Sounds like the slave might have died. Whatever is wrong will probably require dropping the transmission to diagnose.

Slave or master failed. Time to replace.
