Default What clutch for a 750-800whp c6 vette?

Thoroughly confused on this one. Every clutch seems to have good and bad raps. Looking for experience with similar applications, as I am not aware of adjustable master's for this car.

You are correct. Hearing and seeing good and bad posts on just about every clutch out there. I have tex twin but have not pushed it yet past 420 engine hp or so. This year with any luck it will be tested.

Guys seem to have good luck with the new mcleod twins but I am not a fan of their adjustable master. Spec twins look pretty good. Tex twin might not be enough for my goals of 850rwhp turbos and 1000rwhp spray . Might go up to tex triple. Tex has a bit of annoying rattle when you push in clutch. Pedal pressure is not bad though. Not many singles are going to take your power goals. Pretty much have to go twin. Their is also ram twin and fidanza twin, quite a few choices. My final solution might be a 480 though in my car. Just about reached the end of my rope with clutches and clutch hydraulics.
I have brand new latest master and slave in my car now also.

Well, I can tell you that if you are serious about that power goal, and have the finances to back it up, you'll be looking at a multi-plate clutch, bare minimum, if you plan on it lasting for any amount of time.

Mcloed twin would be my choice if I were you. I have a Mcloed sintered iron slipper type clutch in another type application (69 AMX +Jerico). They will hold 1200 hp or so, but I'm not sure you would appreciate its street driving dynamics (on/off grabby at lower rpms). I do drive it on the street though, but my AMX is a lot less civilized than your vette, and I have a very high tolerance for the clutch, because it hasn't ever failed on me.

I was told you need an adjustable master for that clutch and that they are not available for the C6. Is that correct? What exactly do you mean by the on / off behavior? That it will engage quickly forcing the car to lurch in traffic? The car is a weekend ride, so I am not too concerned about daily stop and go.

Buy a Mcleod 64048B-00-07 and a 139000 C5 master. Swap out your pedal assembly for one out of a c5 and you'll be good to go. This is what Lingenfelter is using on their super bitchin C6 that makes the same power.
