Default Driving with Bad Clutch???

Is it ok to drive the car with the clutch going bad? I can feel it slipping a good bit but it is my DD so i need a car? Will it hurt the transmission driving it with the bad clutch?

You will be fine like that. It actually puts less strain on the gears when you are slipping since the power is not being transferred just do your best to not hammer it and make your clutch last as long as possible before you replace it. I have known people that put atleast 5,000 miles on a slipping clutch and it does not cause problems to your t56. I guess the only real thing that could happen is you could eventually scorch your flywheel so much to where it could not be re-cut but I highly doubt that even that is a possibility if it has never been cut.

Well the flywheel will be replaced when the clutch comes along so i dont got to worry about that. Thanks for the reply.

you are 100% fine to drive on a slipping clutch, but make sure the damn thing doesn't go completely out on you, because you wont be movin anywhere!

It'll be fine till it goes out on you all the way one day. Treat her right till she's fixed.
