Default Hydraulic questions

whats up people. I'm in the process of changing my slave and master cylinders. I'm looking at the McLeod Master cylinder will it work with a stock LUK pro gold clutch or a LS7 clutch? Question #2, What slave should I purchase? one from the stealership or is the Ram slave any better and is it compatable with the mentioned clutches? Last question do you all know if the McLeod master comes with the resevoir and cap? Thanks people. Chris

don't know about the Mcleod stuff. I do know that the RAM slave will work with the LS7 kit because I had it in my car. I never had a problem with it either

Don't buy the McLeod, it sucks. I had one and within 2 weeks it went bad. And no, it doesn't come with the reservoir or cap.

when I get one at the dealership, do I ask for a 2001 or 2002 master cylinder? I hope the stock master comes with the reservoir and cap

So they all suck because you got a defective unit?

What do you suggest?

They suck because the exact same thing has happened to many, many people besides me. There's tons of threads about them on here. I have the ls7 clutch with gm master and slave. An adjustable stock master cylinder might be the best way to go but i've never tried it.

If I am not mistaken, the part numbers have been replaced with the newer master cylinders. So you can tell them it's for a 02 car

So these GM slaves and master cylinder's must be quite strong if their used in high horse power applications. I guess you gotta bled them every week in order too keep them in good operating conditions. I guess thats why mine went to ****, I bled it once and its been 10 months sense the last time I bled it.
