problems with new mcleod MC!!
well i installed the master a few days ago and i had some problems bleeding the system but i finally got it to where there is no air in the system. my problem is there is still about 2 or 3 inches of slack in the top of the pedal before it hits pressure, is this normal, i dont remember there being this much before. also when i adjust the master all it really does is give or take away how much pedal i have, and it seems to put a little more slack in it, but not much. whats wrong with it? it has a brand new clutch, flywheel, a fairly new slave, and its a brand new master. here is an illustration of what the pedal feels like.
------xxxxxxx----0000
the lines being pressure, the x's being engagment, and the 0's being slack. and believe me ive bled and bled the system and tried every way to do it.

you won`t believe how much bleeding it can take
to get all the air out.
was the rod end bottomed out when you bled it?
drop the eye bolt a little lower than the pedal the
next time you bleed it, then re-adjust it to the way it was and see how it is.
then if you still don`t like it, extend the rod a little past
the pedal.
to get all the air out.

i mean shorten the rod and bring
the pedal down to it (max up)
this way plunger is all the way up
when you start to bleed.
i`m not sure if i am explaining this well,
but it would be best to bench bleed th master
if it is possible.
taking the plunger to it`s max up
and max down is best.

well i took it to the track and it did ok. it still doesnt feel right, and when i go to adjust it, it just takes away more of the pedal. like going from the first illustration to this:
---xxxxxx-0000000
i dont know what to do. im eventually going to let it gravity bleed and keep an eye on the fluid while doing so. Also, while gravity bleeding do i need to keep the pedal held to the floor, or do i just need to leave it up?
