Default Breakin Period on Clutch?

Last monday I ordered the 910 disc, and 402 plate, and 1055 flywheel from Ram, and also a Ripper Shifter. Just wondering if there was actually a "BREAK IN PERIOD" on the clutch? I have heard yes and no. Trying to make it to the track, but I can't if I don't have the miles on it.

At least drive it around in town for a couple of days. The iron disks don't need as much break-in as other disk types.

Allen at futral motorsports told me to break it in 400-500 miles before taking it to the track. I have the same setup, u'll love it.

cool, i will have at least 300 or so miles on it by the time i get the feel for the clutch and the trip up to the track. Hopefully I will be running some good times with this setup. I was getting low 1.8's on the pos LS6 clutch, but now to bigger and better things.

I put 500 miles on my RAM 980 before beating the snot out of it. Hardest 500 miles I've ever had to drive too!

I have 315 drag radials, and M/T slicks, but I don't think my rear end is ready to hold a 5k rpm launch on sticky tires, WITH A CLUTCH THAT WILL HOLD. But 35thSS wishfull thinking none the less.
