How is it that you never really hear anything about Centerforce clutches for Ls1. I just put one in my 2000 TA with a new Centerforce flywheel and a new T-56.This thing feels great!!!No problems yet!I can't believe I went as long as I did with the stock P.O.S Their tech support was really good. It engages really smooth, slightly heavier pedal feel, and it grabs like a **** when you dump it at high rpm. What more can you ask for

I always found Centerforce hard to deal with, same as their agents in the UK. I could never get a max torque figure from any of them. They only say plus 90% etc. Other people will give you a figure and that's why I bought a McLeod twin plate.

I got a center force dual friction about 6 months ago for my 00 Z28, I did a 500 mile break in and now i am at the track sending my car off at 4k with ETs and i have not had any slipping in mine,
I guess some of us get lucky,

7000 miles on mine with the 500 mile breakin.lots of low 1.7 60/fts on Nittos and a now stronger left leg from pushing this thing. The trick to my clutch working great is I pump it about 5 times before i launch , track or street and it shifts great with no slippage.

I had a 98 ws6 and now have an 01 ws6, a centerforce dual friction in both of them. I see these stories about the centerforces being so bad, but I have had no problem with them what so ever, I loved my first one so much, the day i bought my 01 ws6 i took it to the shop the next morning to have the centerforce df put in. I don't want to start a bashing here, but some people love them or hate them no middle men in this debate. One maybe downside to a centerforce is that it is not as forgiving as some of the other popular clutches. Meaning if ur skills on a maual transmision are not up to par, don't get one. the disc can gan glazeover pretty quickly when u don't pay attention and ride that clutch a little. the up side, especially compared to dual disc sets, is no chatter at all, and can handle all kinds of wicked down shifting with no shutter. just my thoughts

I had one. It was the biggest piece of crap that I put on my car. I had problems shifting, towards the end I couldn't even get my car out of gear. I then bought a McLeod Street twin and soon learned that you truly do get what you pay for.

I have a Centerforce DF in my 1999 T/A w/Mcleod Adj. Master. I have 10K miles and it works great. I have a LS6 382 Stroker with NOS and it has held everything I have thrown at it.

I just put the Centerforce dual friction in mine last weak, with new billet steel flywheel, have around 600 miles on it, first 500 mile were stop and go, not exceeding 3k, after that put it to the test at 6k without spray around 10 times, grabs hard, and so far no problems, going to take it to the track and hit it with a 150 shot, and see if I can't break it in little tiny pieces like everyone says it will, I'll keep you posted, as for the commet that you get what you pay for, I don't know about the rest of you, but after taxes with new throwout bearing, and flywheel, I was right at $800.00 for my Centerforce, w/ the Mcleoud being $950.00 but that included the Hydraulics, so I think that they are pretty close in price...and the spec star stage three would of been around $650.00, you do the math...(JMO)

add me to the list of those that would like to punch somebody at centerforce between the f'n eyes.
those clutches are JUNK.
Mine lasted only a few hundred miles and 3 track passes and it was done. I never even really made it for one track pass..it slipped really bad even on that first pass.
@#@#$ centerforce

For those of you happy with your Centerforce I have one question. Can you powershift at 6500rpm? If you cant its not your transmission, its because the clutch wont disengage at high rpm.
