Default Clutch/Tranny Issues

Had some work done on my car - cam, headers, port polish heads - and when I got the car back a couple of things have come up with the clutch and/or tranny. Tell me what you think.

1st - After running the car hard, the clutch pedle does not come all the way back up immidiately upon release, yet it does not feel as though it is slipping or as if the car is slower. Once I get off of it then it works fine. I have a Star Stage II ceramic clutch. Could it be the slave? Any ideas?

2nd - The car had been down for a few months while parts came in and when first driving it, it was tough to get into first and got thrown out of 3rd a couple of times. Then after about a week, worked fine. Then had to take it to dealership for non-engine issues and it was there for about a week and a half. Everything seemed fine until I could not get into 1,3, or5th gear. Yet I could get into 2,4 and 6th. The only was to get into the odd gears was to get into reverse and go in reverse a little, then I could get into the odd gears no problem. This has seemed to get better the more I drive it. Is it the syncros? Or does it just need to be driven?

I appreciate any comments or thoughts on what to look at. I can change the slave and/or tranny with another one to see if that solves anything, but I just want to know if there is anything else I can do before doing that to see what it is.

Thanks

My buddie has had the same problem with his mustang. The clutch pedal doesnt release pressure until you are off of it right? If so you should see if anything is hung up like the clutch cable. The problem with not being able to get it into certain gears could be the syncro mesh not engaging. Not sure if this is right but thought i would try to help out.
