Working on a project, Corvette T56, f-body rear housing?
Hey guys, I am working on a custom project of sorts and I need some help, is there any reason that I can not change my main shaft in a Corvette T-56 to a GTO unit and run a F-body rear housing. This trans will still be using the corvette style shift rods and still bolting to a torque tube, I just need it to be able to have a conventional style yolk so I can attach a driveshaft to the end and not the corvette getrag diff.
Thanks for any help

What would cause me to have to change the shift rail, would I have to change both rails or just the long one? If I change the shift rails will it still protrude out the front so I can atach the shifter linkage from the Vette?
Sorry for all the questions but thanks for the help.
