I had a RAM910 with the VDS Pressure plate (like the links posted) in my 440rwhp setup. It was a heavy pedal effort setup; however never missed a beat. It lasted about 25K hard miles. For the money it was great. In severe stop/go traffic it tired my leg out.... but tolerable. It was rated at 600hp (flywheel).

I would think about running an aluminum flywheel if you have the $$$. It will rev soo much faster. The Textralia 0Z700 and Exo-Skel are nice.... but $'s.

An LS7 clutch will handle about 500rwhp and drive like stock. I purchased one brand new from Scoggin Dickey for $269 (clutch disc and PP). I'm going to run a Fidanza alum flywheel as I loved how fast it revs with one. I have a heads/cam LS1 making just under 500rwhp I'm building up. (TFS 215's, FAST 90, 240/244 cam)

IMO I wouldn't run a Spec clutch due to the many stories of them failing and actually exploding. Happened to a number of Vette guys. Do a search on here about the horror stories with them. Some work great.... others don't. I've heard from many saying they are wonderful clutches.... but not everyone thinks so.

i have the Centerforce DFX, with a 15.5 LBS chromoly flywheel for F1 Racing, clutch cost $438 from Jegs. Grabs great and has no chatter. A hell of alot lighter than an LS7 clutch, for sure!

I had 40,000 hard miles on a Ram Powergrip HD...I loved that clutch. Heave pedal pressure, a little chatter, with a stock flywheel. I think it would have lasted longer if the flywheel wasn't trashed.
I now have a Centerforce DFX. Light pedal pressure, not much chatter, with a fidanza aluminum flywheel. It has held for 9k even harder miles on drag radials, and just put in a 9" with a steel driveshaft. Also, 3rd gear just took a **** after 120,000 miles lol.
