clutch or tranny broken???
I had a pretty good launch. Missed 3rd as usual and hit 5th, slammed it back in to 3rd and finished the run.
The car was hard to shift after this run and now while driving in second gear if i put a little rearwards pressure on the shifter it vibrates like mad. Same for 1st. Also is hard as heck to get into gear 1/2 the time.

I'm going through the same pains right now. I think what's happening is that the clutch gets hot after a burnout and a launch. If the hydraulics are not bled properly, the fluid will get spongy when hot. This causes the clutch to Not disengage 100%, making it a bitch to get into gear, especially third. Then we go ahead and try to force it into gear, thus ruining the synchronizers and maybe bending a shift fork.

its the hydraulics you need to update the 98 slave cylinder which is in the trans not the pedal and do what people call a drill mod to the hydraulics I have a 98 ramair had same problem also look up pro5.0 shifter thatswhat i got to get rid of 3 gear problem and it worked so far just my 2cents

I have a Mcleod clutch with a kevlar disc and adj master. Someone said it might be a shift fork too. I will go drive it around tomorrow and see what i can find out.
