McLeod Master cylinder FIXED!!!!
I'm so psyched guys. After almost a year of clutch hydraulic troubles, I finally got it working right. I'll tell you this the car shifts so smooth and tightly now it's incredible. I've been so frustrated cause I felt like my clutch was holding me back. Well now that the hydraulics are working I can feel all the power and get it to the ground. What a freakin rush! It's like falling in love with the car all over again!
I'll tell you this the bleed method I came up with is a little complicated. However, I pulled out so much air that I totally understand now, why I was having so many problems in the past. That McLeod M/C must have a ton of hidden spots to hide air.
I'm gonna do a write up for you guys, if anyone is interested in my bleed method. But I need to take pictures, cause it's just too hard to describe without them.
So this is what a race clutch is supposed to feel like! <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

Thats great to hear Mike <img border="0" alt="[driving]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_driving3.gif" />
I know you have been frustrated with the whole mess. When you get a chance please do post that method. My M/C has been working flawlessly for a good while now, but I am curious on your method. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

Re: McLeod Master cylinder FIXED!!!!
I just got my new revised rev-lok II clutch from Mcleod. They sent it to replace the time bomb rev-lok I have in there now. As you may know some of these discs have been letting go and taking out bell housings. They also sent me their adj. master with it and said they recommend it with this clutch. Am I opening a can of worms by installing this M/C ???Up til now I have had no issues with my M/C .

Re: McLeod Master cylinder FIXED!!!!
I took all the pictures today and will do the write up tonight. I think you guys that have been having bleed troubles will really like this method. There's three parts to it, and the middle part is the really tricky one, but that's where all the "hidden air pockets" get sucked right out of this bad boy!
As I'm sure some of you guys have experienced I've gone through the scope of issue you can have with a clutch. engagement point shifting, soft pedal, having to muscle the stick into gear at 6K shifts, verying pedal pressure, trouble shifting into reverse, I've experienced it all. All I can say is the first launch I did with this new method I knew right off the bat I got it right. The shift was so smooth I actually felt the shifter hit the bolt stop on a 6K shift. That's never happened to me before.
Now I will tell you, that McLeod replaced my M/C with one that has the new upgraded internals. But after seeing how much hidden air can be extracted from these M/Cs there's no doubt in my mind that that's been the problem the whole time.
Hopefully tomorrow I'll have the procedure up and will show you guys what I did to get her fixed.

Let me know what you guys think: http://www.phpinc.biz/clutchbleed.html
When my comcast web page opens back up I'll move it over and tinker with the html and pics to make the page look a little better.

Re: McLeod Master cylinder FIXED!!!!
Thats extremely similiar to the way I bleed the M/C Master cylinders. I don't use a Mityvac, I just submerge the "slave sim" in a can of brake fluid also when bench bleeding.(I use a C5 connector since it has a long braided hose that attaches to the slave) It only take a few minutes. Bench bleeding is the best way when you have a dry master cylinder. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
The only way I've been able to bleed it in the car was with reverse pressure bleeding, forcing fluid from the slave through the line, master and back into the reservior until no more bubbles were present.
Great writeup!

What where your symptom b4 you bled the clutch correctly. I just got my car back and I dont think they bled out the system correctly.
My clutch pedal has lag on the way up. I can actually pull my foot of quicker than pedal can come up.
Can this be my problem?
