Pulling a T56?
How difficult is it to pull a T56? I would be doing it in my garage. I have a compressor and air tools as well as jack stands. Is there any walkthru on installU or simlar sites? Any input would be appreciated.

Its not really "hard" - just tough to do lying on your back - unless you have a tranny jack. You will need some long extensions and a couple "swivel" sockets. Other than that just be carefull not to drop the tranny on yourself

depending on how old ur car is depends on how hard it will be to pull it out. I changed my clutch out of my 98 and had one HELL of a time separating the tranny from the housing and then the housing from the block. since it's all aluminum they all siezed together. I bought some pry bars (4-5 diff lengths), hammers (lead and rubber) and started whackin and prying. the housing to the block was the hardest. It's not HARD just alot of work (for me). Make sure when u put it back together u put anti-sieze all around ur housing and tranny before u slap it back together.

it was very easy to take mine of. i layed under the car removed all the bolts and then pulled the tranny down on to my chest and wiggeld out from under the car. just make sure you get the car up good and high in the air. the tranny only weighs like 90 pounds.

yeah on a side note it would help if you got a buddie to take the tranny off your chest once you get it out..just hope he is not a jackass like mustange hater and just sit their and laugh at you for a few minutes
