Bleeder Valve - You wont believe this....
I just put in a new slave, and stainless hardlines on my '04 GTO
I put in an FBody slave, but swaped in the GTO fitting (TONS of people do this). I DID NOT change the bleeder valve because they were EXACTLY the same.
I put everything back together, EVERYTHING, exhaust etc etc etc. Go to put my 7/16" socket on the bleeder valve...and it wont fit!! The thing is too close to the aluminum casting to get a socket on it! WTF
okay, lets put a wrench on it...all of the wrenchs are too long and so I had to cut one down to about 2" long...great, got on the bleeder finally...
now I can't get enough leverage to break it loose since I was an Idiot and tightened it too much! Plus I basically have ZERO leverage with that small of a wrench
I and try pry bars and everything, just cant get on it
said f*ck it and put fluid in the resevor.....and it didn't drain down...since the system is close (even pumping the peddle) it wouldn't take down any fluid
WHAT THE HELL DO I DO NOW? LOL
I'm so frustrated it's comical.
There is an AN fitting on my new lines before the bell housing....can i disconnect it there, let all of the lines and the master fill with fluid and then reconnect....pump the master and would that fill the slave? I know I would have major air in the lines (which I can't bleed out)
Does this mean I have to go spend $60 on a MityVac at NAPA? Would that even work? The hole in the resevor on the GTO is TINY
But I think once I get fluid in the master cylinder, then I can force it into the slave and work the air up towards the resevor
or am I totally screw, and have to take everything back apart, notch the bellhousing and transmission so it'll fit the socket

The handle is from a cheap wrench, the socket is from a tubular wrench.
I first tack-welded both pieces togehter, went under the car, adjusted the angle and then welded it completely.
It's pretty ugly but it fits!
By the way: we don't have tubular wrenches in inches over here, so I filed the slave cylinder plug a little to fit a 11 mm wrench

Holesaw a hole in the floorboard under the carpet where the bleeder is and find a plug that fits the hole you just made at a hardware store. This way you can bleed it by yourself also.
