clutch wont disengage PLEASE HELP
Ok i just intalled a ram 980 disk, pressure plate, and ram steel fly wheel, along with an adjustbale master and 01 salve. everything is bled and we have normal clutch pressure all the way down and up. the problem is when we start the car and put it in gear with the clutch peddle on the floor the wheels start moving and if you hit the brake with the clutch still on the floor the car will stall. we have tired bleeding the hydrolics again and we have adjusted the master many many times. i called the vender i bought it from and he said it might be that ram sent me a clutch that was on a "wave carrier" not a stright carrier what is this and why would it keep the clutch from disengaging? any one have any ideas?

Other than what you've already done w/the MC adjustment(which is indicitive of, and should fix that problem)the only thing I can think of is:
</font><blockquote><font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">quote:</font><hr /><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">everything is bled and we have normal clutch pressure all the way down and up. </font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">When you say everything, do you mean master and bleeding at the slave? You shouldn't have to, but I had the same prob a couple clutch installs ago.....bled the slave as well as master and all was well.....just a thought <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

Sometimes there can be high spots on the clutch disk.Thats why they say break them in for 500 miles.Did you drive the car a little with the Ram or just do this on jack stands?
