Yup, if you stay under 25 pct throttle, 2nd and 3rd gear will be locked out. If you see the skip shift light come on and these gears dont lock out then it has been deleted

It you go over 25% throttle it'll block the gears out..it's designed to engage if you are going fast enough to not lug in 4th.

I took my old oil level sensor and cut the end off just to leave the threads and used that. Worked awsome and the head of it is taller to get a wrench on it easier too

Can this skip shift throw on my check engine light? YES, I haven't removed my slip shift from my 2000 SS. Check engine light on code reads P0974

Yes, if you delete the skip shift it will throw a code. Unless you jumper it out. I used a 1-kohm resistor and just jumpers out the harness connector. No codes, but the light still comes on saying "skip shift" so the computer thinks it's working.

When I got hptuners, I was able to kill the skip shift altogether.

Search ebay for M20 1.5 plug and you will find tons of drain plugs that will work. I sealed it with RTV instead of relying on the gasket they usually come with.

Pretty sure you can. Just lower the tailshaft as low as you can. But why bother? You can just jumper the plug for a dollar. Unless it's leaking

I just want it gone because I hate the fact that it exists. I want to smash it with a hammer.

I think the one I made for $4 falls in that category of custom machined too

Dorman makes an oil drain plug that also fits, even comes with a gasket. Part number 090-040. Cost me less than $2.

Where did you get it for less than $2? The local parts houses are in the $15 range. Ebay looks like around $5.

Buck forty-two at Rock Auto. I guess it's only that good of a deal if you add it to an order you were already gonna place, but even by itself it comes out to less than five bucks with shipping.
