do you want a a shifter or just a stick? you can pick up a short throw stick for under 30 and a shifter will run you 125-200. does your car have a hurst shifter? if it does, adding just a short stick will make a HUGE difference-thats what i did. i've read people who regretted getting a 200$ shifter b/c they liked the stock hurst with a short stick better.

Thats what I did, got a WS6 short shifter for $25 shipped. Much better than the stock rubber bushing shifter rod. Still my shifts were very notchy. I went to the track last weekend & a guy let me try out his pro 5.0 in his 02 Z28. I heard nothing but good things about that shifter, & it really went through the gears almost effortless compared to mine. After that, bought one & installed it today. Got it from Speed inc. on ebay for $165 shipped. It works better because its made to give you more leverage when shifting. I can still use my WS6 short stick on the pro 5.0 so it wasnt a waste gettin it.

Go to your local track & you'll find someone with an F-body that has this shifter. Ask them if you can try it out. You'll want one for sure once you do.

i say just get a short stick. it will make a very noticable difference.

if you feel you still need a better shifter. you can usually sell the short stick for about what you paid...then just get the shifter.

and guys....he's a t-5....not a six speed

I'd get a MGW. Not sure if they make one for the T5 yet, but I know they make em for the T56 despite it not being on there site. Wouldn't hurt to ask. If you can't use that, definitely get a Pro 5.0. I'm gonna get rid of my Pro 5.0 for a MGW soon...
