Default Lou's Short Stick

How much would Lou's Short Stick help? If you install that on the stock Hurst shifter then can you take it off later and put it on a Pro 5.0? Thanks in advance!

Made a huge difference on my factory hurst--along with the MBA **** its a crazy short throw

BTW, I *think* sticks for the Pro 5.0 and the Hurst are different, but I think Lou's will switch them out for you

I you put a LSS on a factory Hurst shifter you may not want/need a 5.0

first time going to the track, i have the stock hurst and mis-shifted 2 times. my buddy told me about lou short stick the mis-shifting is gone... i think that the lss works as good as the Pro 5.0, got it from lmperformace.com.

Does it still have a big effect if you have installed the skip shift eliminator?

I am going to try a Short stick before I buy a Pro 5.0 shifter. For those that have tried both the LSS and JSS...which is better?

so...does Lou's stick angle toward or away? Common sense would say toward the driver. but I wanted to double check before I bought one.
Putting 4.11's in your car really makes the sloppy shifting a BIG problem! *shift**shift**shift**shift*... "arrgh!! Wish I had gotten the stick before the gears!"

I love the LSS and Pro 5.0 combo...makes a world of difference and feels much more comfortable and fun to drive. Definately worth the money I spent. I bought the combo from afterthoughtsauto. they had it shipped to me fairly quickly.

So from what I understand, you must have a hurst factory option in order to be able to accomodate the LSS or JSS? If this is correct, how do I know if I have this option already? If I dont have this already I must instal a Pro 5.0 first?

I know the stick will increase noise, but does that mean just the clicks of shifting or being able to slightly hear the machinery >whirl< on occasion (in neutral or some downshifting)

I just want to check if noise is due to no rubber isolator and not part of tranny doing something wierd at this convienient time.

Hardly any noise at all from my shfter. Just need to make sure all the bolts are tight. of course I don't think I'd be able to hear the noises over the exhaust and stereo anyway

I liked it facing the dash, other wise I felt it sat to far back when I was in 2,4, and 6
