Default ARP Flywheel Bolts WTF?!

Well, I'm totally confused as to how these ARP flywheel bolts are supposed sit flush against my Fidanza aluminum flywheel. As you can see towards the base of the ARP bolt on the left that it flares out so there's no way for the head of the bolt to sit flush with the flywheel. The bolt on the right is a stock flywheel bolt. Can anyone explain this?

Its been a while but I'm pretty sure that how my ARP's were when I installed them. I did have a billet spec flywheel though so I'm not sure that's the difference or not but all of mine fit without a problem. Have you tried to put them in the flywheel to see if they actually fit? Not sure if it's possible but maybe you can open up the flywheel a bit to get them to go?

I don't really want to grind the holes in my brand new Fidanza. It may throw off the balance of the motor too... I'll probably go ahead and just get GM bolts and be done with it or call ARP and find out what the hell the deal is. Maybe Spec and Fidanza make different size flywheel bolt holes? Anyone know if the Fidanza bolt holes are smaller than stock?

Thanks
