I got scammed last week myself on a crank. Guy posed as Xssive. He was very very good. My son is a college student and has been tracking this one. He’s in Nigeria, and we know the town. Still messing with tracking.

Xssive Has been in here a long time. I think I bought stuff from him almost 20
years ago. I can’t believe people are taking screen names and doing this.

It's rampant, everybody needs to be extra careful. I would double and triple check before sending any $$$ these days.

There has been some big ticket items I thought about buying but haven't because I'm not sure who's on the other end.
I know a lot of guys didn't like it but that's why I only pay with PayPal.id rather deal with fees and have some protection than not

The admins should institute a placard rule on the for sale pages at least. This requires you to put a placard in the photos of you items for sale showing your user name and the current date at the time of the photos. This at least helps prove the items and photos are yours. Won't help with super clever scammers or contacts via PM or email, but it does help. The rule is strictly enforced on other forums I frequent and we don't have many scams happen in those places.

Are you the same as "dmracing1993" on ebay? If so, I'm Rich C., the guy who finally got the rocker stands after the post office lost the first set (for a while).
