Is emissions in IN just like IL where its just a scanner test??

 

depending on year yes. I believe 1995 and under are actually tested. 96 and up get obd scan, no codes you pass. Lowell Indiana here. south of merriville about 25 minutes

 

right here in schererville, off of rt 30 by schoops, well g/f`s house but been together so long its like mine too, in a way

We DO NOT have emissions here in Indiana.

Rochester checking in here. Not exactly NW Indiana but oh well.

 

I didn't move from too far away, (Homewood, IL) so I'm used to the boringness, Schererville is actually alot more exciting than where I grew up!!!

I just moved into the Sherwood Lake apartments just off of 41 & 30 I've actually seen a handful of very nice F-Bodies just in the complex here...

Thats pretty badass on the no emissions thing, although I have almost no emissions equipment on my car at all and it still passed Illinois emissions .

I was looking through the BMV website... is it really only like 20 bucks to register your car in IN? Its like almost 80 in Illinois...

I'm definetely looking forward to tinting the windows and ripping my front plate off and not getting **** for it

 

it all depends on what county you live in. in lake county there is still emissions but for 96-newer they just plug it in. i dont know where rochester is but im pretty sure it is not in lake county. i used to register my car in demotte just to get out of taking emissions. that was newton county.

 

yes schererville, does DO emissions! it is visual for cats,check gas cap pressure & then the computer scan......

 

EEK! Visual for cats? really?? Thats not good... since I don't have any.
