Just figured I would update this thread. I'm in my 5th week in school. I have learned a TON so far. I could confidently do most simple circuit side jobs. It seems like some top top notch training. The PT is kind of a bitch but whatcha gonna do right?

I'm eager to start working in 6 or so weeks.

you got a job lined up?
Just lookin over this thread figured I would comment. They only took 35 people for the first term in January. Split us up into 3 groups. My group only has 11 people. Its real nice for learning and space. I can't imagine groups of 30+ in the classroom all at once.

Any word on when you start?

Yea, the smaller groups would be nice. Im in 3rd year now and have 26 people in my classes. Of course theres only enough stations for like 12 people in the classrooms so we have to double up and im some cases triple up. Take advantage of it while you can, Im sure the 11 weeks of no pay sucks Its all up hill after that. Goodluck, I take it you were at the school in Alsip that one day when 1st years worked out w/ 2nd and 3rd years a couple weeks ago?

Yeah I was there, word has it we will be back there in a week or 2 I think for something. 26 people in your class? Oh man it must get TIGHT when everyone is working on projects. The 11 weeks no pay does suck as you probably already know. Nice to know there are other LS1Tech guys in the program. Maybe I'll run into ya sometime sooner or later.

Yeah a bunch of people walked out because of the drug test. I know there is a guy that is 40 something in my class. Mid-terms are this week. I'm doing awesome though so I'm not worried about it. I'm pretty pumped about starting work. PT every morning still sucks but... whatever.

Haha No not at all I'm quite athletic. But really, who wants to do ~60 jumping jacks, ~50 push ups, ~60 sit ups, squats, lunges, crunches, leg lifts, planks, and go for a little jog at 7am? No me, that's who.

yep, everyone. I think our local is a little different than 134. We take a test, then an interview, then they pick from those.

oh my fault, I thought you were referring to 134.

I had to apply, test, and interview for the elevator operators union also.
