Default BURGLARY: Mokena/Tinley Area...

Romito Racing Engines right off of 187th and Wolfe road was burglarized the other night. Here's the post another guy made:

THERE IS A $10,000.00 REWARD FOR THE RETURN OR REPOSSESSION OF THE PARTS
STOLEN FROM ROMITO'S ENGINE SHOP; WHICH CONSISTS OF A BOTTOM END ASSEMBLY
CONSISTING OF A DART BIG BLOCK ENGINE SHORT BLOCK 500+ CI WITH A CALLIES
CRANK, A COMP CAM, AND JESEL BELT DRIVE; A SET OF HEADS; 1 COMPLETE BBC;
1COMPLETE SBC; 10 PAIRS OF ALUMINUM HEADS (BIG AND SMALL BLOCK); 1 BIG CHIEF
INTAKE; 1 LS1 INTAKE; DART SBC TALL DECK BLOCK; AND A COMP CAMS BELT DRIVE!

If any one has any information, please feel free to contact Ray Romito at
708-479-7223. ANY TIPS AND INFORMATION LEADING TO THE RECOVERY WILL BE
STRICTLY ANONYMOUS!
They got a set of Eagle Rods(LS1/LS2), and Diamond(I believe) 402 stroker pistons for an LS2.(Hence my WTB ad on here )

As well as a set of my buddy's fully ported BBC Dart Pro 1 heads.

Anyone that knows Ray knows he's a straight up, legit kind of guy...And it's going to put him out of business if he has to replace all of this on his dollar...His insurance may or may not cover it.

Keep your eye's peeled...The stuff stolen for the most part is no common off the shelf stuff...Should be easy to spot.

If for some reason you need to get a hold of Ray and can't, PM me and I'll get the info to him.

I'll keep my eye out, has to be someone either close to him, or knows what they're doing.

No, they were someone else's for a motor we were having built. I don't know if they got anything of Eddie's. They got another of our customer's FAST intakes too. So that just put two things to a halt for us.

Unhappy Romito race engines theft

We too were victims of the incident at Romito Race Engines. We lost the bottom end assembly consisting of a Dart Big Block engine short block with a callies crank, comp cam and jesel belt drive. If anyone feels that they may know where my short block is please feel free to contact me, cneace@vsihp.com. All tips and information will be kept confidential!

As this has affected more than just my family and Rays, i am asking for all to PLEASE CALL IF YOU HAVE ANYTHING SUSPICIOUS! SOMETHING IS BETTER THAN NOTHING!!

Ray is a great guy with a big heart (as a matter of fact his whole family). I feel sorry for the people who did this to them and us. As we are friends and clients of Romito Race Engines, we STILL LOVE YOU AND BELIEVE IN YOU RAY!!!

Daaaaammmmnnn!! That sux! I had my heads done at this shop and i will agree with everyone that Ray is a great guy. It really sucks that this had to happen, but even worse that it happened to Ray. I know I'll be watching for the stolen merchandise and hopefully the guy who did this will be caught and castrated!
