If you don't mind doing some driving then you can't go to wrong with CBI (Chad Barton Inc) in Hillsboro. Great work, great guy to deal with and reasonable rates. I forgot his screen name on here. If you need a shop in the Chuck vicinity then Craven Performance does LS stuff. But yeah, CBI is worth the trip. I can get you the number if you want.

Contacted P2motorsports and sent them an email of my project. Not sure if anybody is familiar mechanic labor cost, but this is what I'm looking at;
Stage 1 (January)
-port stock throttle body
-bolt on 2pt subframe connectors
-3600 stall
-transmission cooler
-tune up
Stage 2 (April-May)
-port stock intake
-LS6 stage 2 59cc heads
-225/229 cam
-1.8 rockers
-double roller timing chain kit
-Dyno tune
I'm providing all the parts, just looking for a ball park on installation/labor cost. Overall goal is around 425rwhp. Car is a DD mostly.

When upgrading the heads/cam, it's a good idea to port the runners. Not all shops will do it though. I'm only doing the rockers because they are coming with the head/cam kit I'm purchasing.

Car has 114k on it so a rebuild is inevitable. Car has been maintained very well, both tranny and rear end are running strong. I had a 4000 stall in my stock '01 and put about 60k miles on it after the installation, never any issues. With an adequate cooler, I've never heard of a stall giving a transmission any problems. Most people with these cars know (or should know) that the transmission, driveshaft, or rear end can go just about anytime.
