Wheeling to Joliet, man that had to be brutal. I think I would have stayed at a hotel at that point.

I'm down in Arkansas so I did not have any problems that day going to work. However we had an ice storm here Monday afternoon and did not leave the house until yesterday. Mountains and ice = stay home and wait it out! I hope we have a clear trip home Sunday. I do have a 4x4 truck with me so I'll be ok just do not want a 10hour trip to turn into a 15 hour trip. Vince

North and Pulaski to Elburn, 40 miles west... 7 hours. The first 5 got me to Schaumburg. Terrible day. Tomorrow doesn't look to be much better...

Well plan on more of the same this morning. I just pulled my car into the shop at work so it's not frozen solid when I get off work in the morning, cause the freezing rain started here about and hour ago.

I left the city (near the start of LSD) at 2:20. Got to Buffalo Grove around 4:40. Once I got past the snails on the expressway I was able to fly along at 80 for a couple miles...then once off the expressway it was a parking lot again. My co worker spent 4 hours to go to bolingbrook. If I didn't jockey around as much as I did then it would have taken me a lot longer. Normal commute home is roughly 50 mins on a decent day .
