How long was your commute on 12.16?

Mine was very UNEVENTFUL The weatherman was calling for 2-4 inches of snow and ice mix... woke up and there was nothing. The city sure had the salt on the roads though. I was kinda looking forward to some friends taking their 4x4s out and trashing them

I was on my way down to RPM Trans when I ran into the storm. It usually takes me about 2 hours 45 minutes round trip...probably less. It took me around 3 and a half hours or so. It was a sketchy ride back though, driving a truck that I usually don't drive, with no weight in the back. Phew, I've never wanted my AWD and snow tires so badly!

My drive didn't take to much longer BUT there is a big hill on my drive to the highway and that got pretty squirrely! Haha I went down it sideways at about 40 haha it was sweet. I never had any problems with this hill before in a 77 3/4 ton long bed GMC. Now I have a 97 shortbed 1/2 dodge and it a totally different story...

Took me just over an hour to go 11 miles to work, and 8 or 9 miles of it is the interstate.
Not to mention some M-Fkr stole my brand new LED taillights off my truck ($300), So I had to travel in bumper to bumper traffic on the interstate for an hour and pray to god I didn't get slammed into or pulled over on my way to work to replace the taillight harnesses($150) they ripped out. I ended up having to put the old taillights BACK IN and replaced every fuse in the fuse box that had to do with taillights or turn signals or brake lights...
I hope my week gets better!

PS Hope everyone was safe and had no accidents!

I was hearing that people couldn't see
1) because of the snow
2) Because their defrosters melted the snow, but the cold temps froze the water, and the ice accumulating on the wipers made them useless.
3) City Plows were Non-Existant
Metra F-T-W!
