any one install their own headers? if so i was wondering if anyone could give me any advice or even help me do it once the weather breaks...thanks in advance!

Yeah, I did it. It's not too terribly difficult, especially if you bought a brand that typically fits well.

I did it along with a cam swap, so the intake and valve covers were off, which helped give some room to get hands into places.

Be prepared to have the front end of the car up 24" safely. Get jack stands, wood blocks, or whatever will keep it stable. It was easier for me (us, I had help) to go in from the bottom. The passenger's side was easier than the driver's, but that's pretty typical.

Just go slowly, and be patient.

what brand did you use? did you have any clearance issues with the ground or other things rubbing on em? thanks!

I have American Racing Headers. No clearance problems at all. They hug tight, and even with a dropped car I haven't had scraping issues.

I installed QTP's while the heads were off so it wasn't bad. Still had to remove the shields and loosen the steering. Use Stage 8 bolts, they don't back out.
