Default byron and GLD tech in?

Just wondering how strict both places are with tech in for test and tune cars. Could be running bottom 10's -mid 9's no cage. How much of a problem will I have?

if you're running mid 9s and don't even have a roll bar you should think about putting one in or make 1/8th mile passes. You never know what could happen at that speed and kill you. I'd say you would get messed with running those times.

Is there a reason why you don't have a cage and want to risk your life? I'd rather be safe than sorry running those times.

Just haven't gotten around to putting it in yet, and I'm making some big changes to the setup in a couple weeks so I wanted to get a baseline of where it is before I start ripping stuff apart. I'm sure for most of the day, i'll be letting out at the 1/8 mile or making motor passes which would probibly be in the low 11 sec range. I figure I have one pass on the juice regardless, but it would be nice to get a second pass on the bottle to back it up so I know if its a little consistant.

My first pass going faster then 11.50 they told me bye bye.

They will check your gear VERY hard. I was questions when I told him I will only be going 11.80's when I was teching in and he was giving me a hard time about not having metal valve stems.

you can't even race without a snell approved helm.

Pretty much what I did last season, made 1/8 hits @ GLD, first full spray pass I was kicked.

You will prob be fine @ Byron.

As mentioned, GLD has their NHRA license, and follow to the book. Byron would be your best bet.
