Default Are your places of employment hiring? Or know anyone that is?

Still looking for any kind of work on the south side of Chicago or near it. I live about 20 minutes outside of the city and wondering if anybody is hiring or knows any places. I've applied at just about everywhere except for fast food. That's the only thing that I WILL NOT do; is fast food. I can pretty much do it all from drywall to roofing to HVAC to refrigeration. Any help is greatly appreciated. I've been unemployed since May so I need to get something going.

its pretty rough out there especially for contracting work. Do you have any sales/customer service experience? Sales is pretty easy to get into, you can do it for hvac too

I do actually. I worked at Best Buy in Orland Park. I was sales for car audio and helped out in the install bay before I went into the Marines.

Yeah man I hear that. I hate this bullshit going on now with the economy and whatnot. I really need to get back to work so I can start saving for a new house. I got a good lead on a part time position out in Crestwood and another in Alsip. If all goes well I might end up with 2 jobs... we'll see how it goes though.

Very cool man thanks! Should I apply online or in-store or does it matter? I was actually going to check out Costco and Sam's Club and **** like that today. I've probably applied at about 50-100 places and not even one phone call back. I find that really hard to believe. I mean I know times are hard but god damn not even a single phone call?

Yeah I just read that again and went ahead and applied online. Do you work at either of those stores?

Word. I just applied for the one in Orland for forklift driver/stocker. If you can put in a good word for me? If not that's cool too but my name is Anthony Rotondi. Let me know what you hear.

Do you happen to know where it is or what it's called? I can't find anything through google.

I just applied there online. I can't really go out and do as much I'd like to because I have a kid and no babysitter so it's a little tougher to find something.
