GLD Noise/Light Poluttion Meeting this Tuesday Night, 15th "There will be a meeting on Tuesday, December 15th, 2009 at 6:00PM, held at the Town Hall for the Town of Paris located at 16607 Burlington Rd, Union Grove, WI. This meeting will be in regards to a study of noise and light pollution alleged to eminate from Great Lakes Dragaway. If you can possibly make it to this meeting, we would GREATLY appreciate it! We need as many fans of GLD as possible. We are sorry for the short notice, as the town scheduled this meeting with very little advance notice. Tell EVERYONE you know who is either a racer or a fan of the sport! This is VERY important and we need your support!!

Damn they complain about light pollution, they should drive down 159th street in orland park and see what light pollution really is. Its like day light when driving down that street with every car dealerships lights on.

I don't go to GLD but i suggest anyone who does to go to this meeting. Otherwise they'll be shutting you guys down at 10pm like they do us41 now. And 41 is not near anything and they still make them close early cause of the noise.

Light pollution really does suck and no im not one of these eco friendly people. I just dont like light pollution because when you look up you see nothing because of all the lights. Now when Im at my house in michigan i look up and see so many stars, i know it sounds gay to be saying that but looking up at the stars is relaxing to me.

Now when Im at my house in michigan i look up and see so many stars, i know it sounds gay to be saying that but looking up at the stars is relaxing to me.

The sad part is the track was built in the 50s and was miles away from town but the town has recently grown around it. Even though the people KNEW the track was there and that it was in operation 3 nights a week they are trying to get it SHUT down. Not just reduced hours but SHUT down.

Yes, but this is a TINY TINY bit of light pollution. Compared to the lights that stay on all night in neighborhoods because people are afraid to let it go dark but they want to shut down a drag strip that is used 3 nights a week until midnight?

yeah i know its gay but I dont really like it around our area, its to ghetto. Thats why they have to keep the car dealership light on all the time. I go to school in macomb and the car dealership lights are off at 9.

Im in burbank and the only lights that stay on are on fridays during football at Revis and Titans!
Sorry but I love my hoood no Canadians in sight ever exept when they are getting on the bus on 79th n Harlem after workig 4 Loooooong Hours at UPS
and that is nowhere near my block

I have none by me either well expect that I went to Richards. I have all old people on my block thats prolly why I can run an open ypipe and get away with it.
