You could get lower control arms, lca relocation brackets, and possibly a tunnel mounted torque arm for around $400. That's what I recently did and it helped out noticeably, the rear end feels so much more planted and solid now.

Hey TEX.

I'd go with some LCA's, PHB, Reloc. Brkts, And SFC's for now!
If you go with the LCA's I'd get the poly/rod end style LCA's. They are the best for a street/strip application. They are poly where they bolt onto the car and rod end on the side that bolts to the rearend.
And for a lowered car, I'd definentely go with LCA Reloc. Brackets and Adj. PHB.
Although a Tq. Arm is ALWAYS nice. But I would go with a BMR/UMI Chassis Mounted Tq. Arm IMO. It will help the car launch better and will feel more connected to the road.

If you decide to go with a Trans Mounted Tq. Arm, the BMR 1 that the other guy just posted is not a bad buy for the $250 he is asking shipped. Just my .02

If I were you, I'd look around in the sponsors sale section and see how much you can get everything for. I know UMI just had a sale on Their stuff and that will save you some cash, Also Speed Inc. will sell them to you as well and anything over $100.00 is free shipping.

*Looks like you'll be spending a little more than $400.00 for everything though unless you find the stuff used in the for sale section.

LMK If I can help man.

Here is a VERY nice set of LCA's and PHB.....

http://www.umiperformance.com/catalo...roducts_id=362

Now read where it says for Lowered Vehicles..... BUY THEM!

http://www.umiperformance.com/catalo...roducts_id=117

-And Guess what, Thats $400.00

Now get a Tq. Arm and SFC's And your ready to go man!

Although I suggest getting the other stuff first...

Here's a very Nice Tq. Arm with the DS Safety Loop!
http://www.umiperformance.com/catalo...roducts_id=212

And these are the SFC's I have on my car... Very Nice Pieces!
http://www.umiperformance.com/catalo...roducts_id=193

For $1,000 You'll be well into the suspension mods....
Also a set of Front and rear struts/shocks will help with weight transfer too! But thats about another $1,000.00 or so when your all done.

Good Luck and hope this helps you a little man!

Wait, you don't have SFCs? I'd put them on the top of your list, I was stupid and make a bunch of power on a sticky tire without them, wrinkled my quarterpanels pretty good and my car used to come up like a wet lasagna noodle getting tossed around in an italian kitchen.

He's got a point there Travis! I wasn't even thinking about that. I have seen the same issue as well. Since our cars are Uni-Body cars (no Full Frame) They twist up quite a bit when you put on a sticky tire and put some power in them. Thanks Yak for making that point!

BTW Man, I'd be willing to help you install whatever you get for the car. Just Text me.

how on earth has no one suggested replacing the crappiest stock part on the car - the shocks.

That is i guess only if you want a fun street car that corners tho....if you are only concerned with going fast in a straight line then it won't really help you

i would suggest a solid set of subframe connectors and chassis mounted torque arm.

my car went 1.70 on completely stock suspension. i added the sfcs (kenny brown double diamond) and spohn tubular lower control arms (driver's side had a bigass crack in it) and gained nothing. i put a better tire on it and got down to 1.60 at best.

i think the best mod suspension wise to get you off the line is a torque arm (not trans mounted), hands down. the stock shocks and springs are good into the low-mid 1.5s, i don't think you'll see anything better than that without an airbag and drag bar.

what kind of tires are you planning on using? if you're going to add all this suspension work and use 17" nittos...well...haha, i'd spend the money on a set of m/t et street DRs and some 16" snowflakes first.
