I agree with your dad. My current F-bodies already had holes drilled for front plates by previous owners, so the damage was done therefore I run the plate just to avoid the hassle. But on the ones I bought new, I did not drill the holes either.

The front plate looks awful on a C6, possibily worse than on any other car ever. The bracket situation was a 100% afterthought by GM. I plan on getting a C6 in the future, and laws or not, I too will be without a front plate.

No front plate since my SS was purchased new in 2001 from Indiana. I don't have tinted windows or exceptionally loud exhaust either - I did my best to give as little reason as possible to pull me over.

I'm sure that it helps I only drive a couple thousand miles a year....

If you've already got the holes drilled can you still run one of those "bird inserts"? I'd like one of those in red and black.

Camaros can get away with no front plate easier if they have the right grill. The camaro letters kind of throw you off so you dont even notice.

[QUOTE=birdmaro;12884819]you guys actually register your vehicles?

I have one plate for three motorcycles... I use a big ol' strip of velcro and it zips right on and off (easy for a reach around if needed, also).
Unlike swapping out car plates...I'm the only one driving the bikes so if I get pulled over my wife doesn't take the hit.
