Dyno tune around STL
#21
If you're still looking for a tune, I do tuning out of Poplar Bluff. It's a bit of a drive, but my cost is probably a lot lower than the places you're looking at. I don't currently have a dyno but can get you on one for a tune if you really want it. All my work is custom, I may install a base tune but spend a few hours with the wideband driving dialing everything in within a few percentage points.
If you are interested, you can give me a call or text at 573-718-8733.

Another vote for Performance by Joe (PBJ) in St. Louis off of Hampton Ave and 44. He did the tune on my TT Vette and I've been quite pleased. There was some stuff he couldn't tune out that's attributed to very lazy O2's since they're right behind the turbo's, but he had it dialed in quick and it runs like a champ.

I've heard nothing but good things from Craven Performance, but I can personally vouch for the guys at Mid Coast Performance. The tuner has a couple LSX cars himself and knows how to get the most out of them. 636-946-7223

CBI Street Cars is where it is at. Everything he does is awesome work. Everyone I talk to says the same thing. He did a tune for my car when no one else wanted to mess with a carbureted dinosaur. He went way above and what I expected. PM me for his details

Fap Tuning FTW!!!! Shane does a great job on the drivability and power!! You will not be disappointed at all. He has tuned my formula and my vette and both run very well! I would not let anyone else tune my car. Have Shane tune you car!

Dave Steck, Big Steve (does tuning for CBI) and Shane are all good. The guy who rebuilt my 4l60e really talked Shane up, and said he's good at setting up shift points and what not. I shall be talking to him in a couple weeks when my pile is done so I can hopefully hit a test n tune before the track closes for the winter.
McCord was good when he was focused more on tuning. His actual work is more in the engineering field and he really does not tune cars anymore. It seems like his quality of work may have declined toward the end because he was so busy with other big projects so tuning a car for the 100000th time wasn't too high on his priorities.

Dave steck....end of story. No need to bother talking to any other tuners. He is the only guy mentioned in this thread that CONSISTENTLY tunes 700+ hp cars that dont blow up everywhere or give out a nice smoke show when they get on it. Look at previous cars he has tuned like his own twin turbo c6z that maxed out the dyno sunday night at 1000whp and almost 1000 torque and a twin turbo 427 5th gen camaro that rolls out. He tuned my ms3 cammed camaro on SD and it drove awesome considering it had 3.42s. He is tuning my turbo Camaro tonight as well. Look at some of his posts on several forums, the guy is scary smart, thank god he just uses it for tuning and witty banter.

And for clarification Big Steve tunes mostly out of Redline I believe. Not CBI.
