Default 4th Gen Formula Produciton #s

Hey everybody,
Im new to LS1Tech and I am looking for some info. I have been obsessed with F-bodys for several years now and I am looking into purchasing my second 4th Gen Formula. My first was a heavily modded black on black 2001 Formula 6speed with a full LS6 swap. Long story short. Got married, had my second child and parted with my Formula. I regret it to this day and I am looking to get back into another. This one won't be quite as bad *** as my first car but I will have LS power once again.
The car: 1999 Firebird Formula Hardtop automatic. I haven't seen many Formula's with out T-tops. It is a true hard top and it appears to be unmolested other than aftermarket rims. I know appox 1600 Formula's were made in 99'. I am looking for a further breakdown. How many were made Red, with out T-tops and auto trans. Any additional info on the 1999 Firebird Formula will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
LS6Bird

The info has to be out there! I have found basic info on # of cars built each year but no specifics on colors and options. Just curious.

Pontiacs were not well documented, you will be lucky to find any other information on that '99 other than total number built. I have a black, hardtop, cloth, '99 myself, can't find much more info on them. I love the car though, best looking birds IMO, especially on TTII wheels blacked out, with a set of BLS headlights.

Hi,

I think the following thread will give you all the information that is available or known. I don't think it will adequately answer all of your questions, but I hope you can find something.

Default Color breakdown for 99' formulahttp://images.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/src:www.ls1tech.com/

Thanks for everyones help. One thread said 78% of all 99' Formula had t-tops. If that is accurate i am glad Im looking at a hardtop. My last car was a t-top car and I enjoyed it in nice weather but I was suprised to see the pictures of my prospect without t-tops. Very helpful! I am really looking for a color break down. That is what I can not seem to find anywhere. I have seen people post their car is "one of so many X color cars". When I bought my last formula I was told it was 1 of 26 optioned that way... no documentation, but I know only 311 6 speeds were made in 01' and mine was a loaded black on black car? Anyways, if anyone has a link, post or thread to a color break down for 99' formulas I would really appreciate it.

Thanks,
LS6Bird

99FormulaM6R, Thank you! This is the most detailed breakdown I have seen and Im pleased to know how few hard tops were made. Makes it a little more desirable in my opinion... I appreciate the info!
