For you guys looking for a tune try TPIS in Chaska. I think they run a portable O2 or something and tune it on the street. Seems to work pretty well from what I've heard from some of my vette buddies.

I'm up for a cruise this summer....who wants to put it together

You mean emission testing? They dropped any and all inspections (including visual)years ago. Most everyone I know runs headers and no cats.

BTW - Cops here love to bust people speeding, so get ready.

 

Cops are the same way i think everywhere... down here the "emissions are not bad".. Just wondering.. Hope you guys dont mind all the Questions i've been asking??

 

Don't mind at all. I've relocated twice; from NO,LA to Anaheim/LA,CA and from CA to here in MN. I know how it is. Also, gas here is oxygenated year round here because there are no emission inspection.

 

I "MAY" run headers with no cats. Cops like to give seatbelt tickets too. And front plate tickets

Congrats! Yes lots of good looking women. The Car Craft Nationals are in early July, you should check it out.

 

Hell, We ought to try and get some people together? Car Craft Nationals? What is that? Drag races or car show? Which part of MN do you live in?

 

It's a HUGE show put on by Car Craft magazine every year. It goes from Fri-Sun. Cost to enter your car is $45 preregistered. The club I'm in usually enters about 15 cars and sits together under a huge canopy to hang out. I live in Plymouth which is in the northwest suburbs of Minneapolis approx 25-30 miles north of Bloomington.

Won't be doing Rock Falls this year as I sold my '01 6 speed 'Mod' Coupe
Fastest time at the Rock was 12.97 (bad ET) @ 114+ (great motor) on street tires that never hooked. I won't bring my Vert there.

Well, it looks like i will be leaving on tuesday and getting up there on thurs. or fri. Not taking anytihng but clothes. Also, good chance i will be staying in Lake Nokomis for awhile. Anyknow know that area? Next question, Want to do a cam and TC install before the winter comes. Any of you guys have tools and experience? I really dont but i am pretty good at figureing things out. But, im not bringing any tools/stands/and what not. Thanks fellas!

 

Lake Nokomis is a nice area. It's north of Bloomington. I'm getting ready to do my 3rd cam swap and second head swap.

 

So your saying if your not busy that you might wanna help me? Also, gonna put a new timing chain and oil pump on as well.
