Long story short, someone re-tagged a car and sold me a car with vin tags on it from another Trans am. I bought my car back but now it has a salvage title. I need to get the title salvage rebuilt so I can drive it again.


Does anyone know a licensed rebuilder near Gurnee IL which is right on the IL/WI border in Lake County IL?

Please let me know. I need to get this car back on the road soon! Thanks

You have to take it to an inspector at the secretary of state, make an appointment first, and you will have to pay a fee. Refer to the link below. Closest one to you is:

Thanks for the links and the information.

I believe I need to have a salvage rebuilder sign off on some stuff and then I can bring my car to the place to get it inspected.

I will be stopping at body shops tomorrow hopefully finding something!
