Default Recommend engine builder in the IL area

Been out of the LSx stuff for a while, but needing a forged build put together for FI and just wanting to use stock LS block/crank with forged rods/pistons and rings.

Last time I was around the forums AES was the one to go to, but it sounds like they are about the last folks you want to take a project to these days, so, is there anyone else in the area that does good work? I'm located near the Peoria area.

Thanks

I can tell you that AES LITERALLY stole my engine from me. Quoted me a price, I said yes, went in to give them a deposit and the price was 5k more. Went back and forth, got attorney involved and we came to an agreement that I'd let them hold the engine until I decided to build it because in all the bickering I went and got a new motor... then when I went back to them they couldn't find my motor, couldn't find an invoice, and after a few weeks of me asking and them stalling I never heard from them again.
