Default New tracks in missouri

An 1/8th mile track is being built in Viburnum, MO. The track should be finished in October and will be open for competition in February.

And another 1/8th mile track is being built in Farmington, MO. Should be open in March.

...........need more 1/4 mile tracks in MO.

As far as i know they are still going to build a track in Viburnum. A relative of mine is building it. They cleared all the ground and were ready to start the concrete work but then decided to try mud drag racing for a while.

Where are you located? I live in the area. Send me a PM.

This is the first I've heard of any dragstrip in Farmington. Any updates on it? I'll settle for 1/8 mile to avoid driving to Gateway.

Default Viburnum track

OK guys I went to Viburnum last Tuesday to find the new track. What I found was it is located on Y highway about 2 to 3 miles out of town. You come to an old railroad crossing and you turn left on a rough but paved road. Travel about 2 more miles and it is on the left. What I saw was the ground was still being worked. There were some guys driving huge road buidling machines pushing dirt. From where I could see there was no concrete yet. They had some bleachers pushed all together and little shed next to them. It looks to me like there is still going to be a lot of work that needs to be done before they open. I didn't get to talk to anyone out there. I was told by another person on Saturday that it will be 1/8 mile with 1/8 mile shut down. I hope they get this done soon, I hate that long drive to St. Louis or Rogersville!

For once it's nice to hear about tracks being built rather than being shut down.

Where's Viburnum? I've never even heard of it. I usually go to MAR (Wentzville) even though Gateway is closer.

From what i understand about the track in viburnium there will be no drag racing there anytime soon, i heard they are going to be doing mud drags there. Just a rumor but if you take your f-body down ther better have the gumbo mudders on the back of her. Just line em up where you find the other car at, stoplight, walmart parkinglot wherever.
