That freakin blows. Any news on your car?

 

Car has this crazy huge stack of boxes taking up way to much space as the items for the next phase roll in. I've tried to keep from tearing into it and having a bay taken up all winter with a car that wont move under its own power. Doesnt look like its gonna come together till spring since some things havent shipped yet and its getting cold burrrr. I'm looking for a shortblock or bare block atm one of the last pieces of the puzzle.

Your new shortblock come in yet?

 

Yeah it's in. It's actually a long block. I sent them my AFR 205 heads and the assembled everything. Cam is already installed lifters etc.... Should be one bad *** engine. It will be spring for me as well.

 

That way they have to support it, smart. Larger cam?

 

Yeah it's 228 223 @ .050" .595 .578 lift on a 114lsa in @ 110 ICL
Should be a really nice cam.

 

It looks like tomorrow might be the day. I'm gonna roll down to US60 with one of our old friends and his Z.

I got an '02 Hawk and all I've done so far is sfc's. After I get the lca's, panhard rod, torque arm, and clutch out of the way I was looking at the TFS stage III heads and cam. But before I do any engine mods I would like to hear, in person, a cammed ls1. Just curious how bad the valvetrain noise is that so many people mention.

 

If you want we can meet up somewhere and you can listen to my car. I have a CompCam 224/224 .581 112lsa cam in my car. Along with a set of stage II heads from patriot perf., kooks LT's flowing into a x-pipe turned down before the axle. I also have some other mods, but anyway, what do you do on the weekend? Do you run around anywhere?

 

Hey, I would really appreciate that. I work seven days a week, but on weekends I don't go in until 3pm so I could meet you somewhere around noon or 1. What day is better for you, sat. or sun? We could meet at Hooters in C'ville and I'll buy you a couple beers for your trouble.
