What up fellas. Jason hows the kid?
Mike hows the cars?
I've been working 6-7days a week making pretty good money and paying my bills off. Slowly but surely. I've enrolled into college for this January's classes, so that
'll be interesting.
But I'm saving and paying off debt as much as I can so my little T/A can feel the road again.
I replaced the battery in the TA and it seemed to fix alot of my smaller problems under the hood. Amp meter isn't going wild, plus many little things. Car still hauls major *** up to about 35-40.
Guess thats about it.
Still need a tranny bad :-(

If your talking the diff $2500 or more ask yourself how much street driving your really planning and then look back on how much you really did since you got the procharger. I swear they ask too much money for the 4l80e but it's a tough bastad with lockup clutch and overdrive making it sexy. How much cam and stall you wanting to go with? Your not married to a trans selection(or rear gear) either, don't like it somebody will take it off your hands but loose some $.
Call some trans experts or guys that tried both these trans and similar turbo setups and see what they think. Speed Inc been a few rounds with turbo setups like yours. It's your money man spend it how YOU want, theirs a slight streetability compromise in there for a th400 if you choose it but will work like a charm and still tough like Chuck Norris. Dude seriously if you want to take a 45min roadtrip in the cobra and talk to an ACE trans man who specializes in hp work and race trans for some exotic car builds LMK.

Here is how I see it and you judge for yourselfs what you think. I don't think an overdrive is needed unless he is planning to really drive this thing ,and even at that, it just isn't needed. It is of course all up to Mike if he wants to spend up to twice as much money to drop the cruise rpm by just a couple hundred rpm.
3.50 rear gear
2nd gear - 108 at 7000 rpm, 100 at 6500 rpm
3rd gear - 149 at 6500 rpm, 160 at 7000 rpm
3.25 rear gear
2nd gear - 108 at 6500 rpm, 116 at 7000 rpm
3rd gear - 160 at 6500 rpm, 173 at 7000 rpm
Trap speed estimate 145 at 5900rpm
Cruise speed - 60 mph at 2500 rpm, 74 at 3000 rpm
4L80 cruise - 60 mph at 1850, 75 at 2300 rpm
No matter what he will have to change to 3.25 gear or higher (numericly lower) gear. 4l80 and 400 trans first 3 gears are the same and that is were all the action happens.
Note - none of these numbers account for converter slip

Yeah that's how i see it th400 F T W. I bet the car drives mostly to an 1/8th mile track then home. Compromise as I see it is in the converter. Pay serious attention to the stall dont go to loose, with this much power on a brake and street has to be well thought out unit. Turbo cars are a diff animal from the rest in the converter.

public if u got that many people looking at that th350 I'm just gonna go with something else for the Camaro. I was leaning more towards the th400 for the T/A because I just can't afford a 4l80e! Damn food why do I have to eat to live!

Guy doesnt call me today with the cash our deals still on unless you talked yourself out of it. Yeah you bought a whole other LT1 car for like less than a 4l80e that's just wrong.
