It's a damn shame it won't hold 300rwhp. But I guess I'll look into built ones this time. Anyone got a 9in, 8.8, 12bolt? Going to need one of those soon enough I can already tell.
The reason I lost the first 2 was a bad TPS.. $40 sensor smoked 2 of them before we figured out what was wrong. The 3rd was catastrophic, the converter bolts backed out and when the converter dropped it obliterated everything. This time is still to be determined. And I've never had a tune.. And still don't. It's at frost's shop.

It sounds like the trans failed because of other issues. Not because it couldn't hold the power.
I can't see justifying the cost to go with an 80' if those were the reasons the trans broke.
Just my .02
I have felt like giving up on my car countless times. Why I don't I don't know. LOL.

4L60e update: did a filter change and found out that it was the problem. Just got word from Houston and I'm clear to launch! Lol.
The filter "collapsed" and it wasn't pumping fluid.

Hey guys. We finished up a 69' Roadrunner at the shop and the customer picked it up today. Thought I'd share a few pics of it.

I miss spoke, it's a 69. I don't know why I said it was a 70. I was thinking of a different car.

It's a 69. 383/4speed car. We mainly do Hemi car's but do pretty much anything Mopar.
We've got a 70' Charger Hemi/4speed car we are doing now. It was an export car and went to Germany when it was made. It's kinda cool because the speedo is in KPH instead of MPH.
We also have a 70' Challenger Hemi/4speed car we are working on and a 69' Daytona 440/4 speed car. The Challenger and Daytona are going to be OE cars so I'm pretty excited about that. The Challenger is that bright lime green color. That car is worth so much money we won't drive it after it gets done.
I really wanted to but I was denied.
It will get put on a trailer and either taken to a car show or the owners garage. We aren't going to Nationals or Carlise this year which is a shame because my boss has won OE Gold the last four years, possibly five in a row.
We wanted to get his 68' Charger done for the SEMA show in November but waiting on parts have made that impossible.
We are trying to get the website up so show off some of the stuff we have done. We did a Panther Pink Super Bee last year and was in Mopar Collectors Guide. A bunch of his cars have been in mags. It's pretty cool being around cars like that. Most people don't ever get to see a Hemi car and that's a majority of what we do.
Thanks for the kind words.

I found a pretty good pic of the Bee'

I won't post anymore pics. This is a F-Body site and I don't want people to think I'm pushing our shop.

Well I am happy. OK happy is an under statement. My oil pressure had been dropping slowly for that past week or so. I just new I wiped out a bearing. There was no reason for it but **** happens.
It had dropped to 35psi@idle and a little over 40psi@WOT. I replaced the OPSU and bam. 50psi@hot idle and 80psi@WOT. Woot!
Changed the oil and O2 sensors and finally figured out how to turn the damn change oil light off. My dashboard doesn't look like a Christmas tree now. It's the little things that make you happy.

LOL. I figured a bearing was going out but I got lucky. It had right at 80psi this morning on cold start up just like it use to. I saw that SOM SS a few times last week on Mesker Park. That's a nice looking car.
That was an interesting way for your sending unit to fail....all of the ones that I have seen, including the one in my vette, just pegged out and stayed there. I would have been worried just like you had mine just slightly dropped and acted like it was still working!
