Dropfest is a waste of good cars. For the most part I believe in to each his own but when it compromises utility I draw the line. I do not need someone telling me to put 20+inch wheels on my car and drop it below a useful level. Heck last year at the Power Tour a few friends and myself were looking at a couple Caprices at the GB stop and one of my friends summed it up perfectly saying "this is what it wrong with owning a Caprice"
The cars we were looking at were 20" wheels with 9.5" rusty drums and a few thousand dollars in paint. Then there was the fuzzy green dash one with leopard skin seats how about the wagon with the cowl screwed to the hood.

My vote is for a Real Street drags night turnout can be light for those but it is a good show and lots of opportunity for track time, plus the more of us that showup the more likely they will continue with the program. I would hate to see them quit it due to poor turnout.

I hadn't seen that, yeah that would really blow. Probably trying to boost friday attendance. I like to go on rice night the place is usually dead because everyone with real cars doesn't want to deal with rice and few ricers are actually interesred in performance and are more into wings and stickers so they stay away too. A friend of a friend actually made 29 passes one rice night. I never pushed it that far but I have made as may as I wanted.

Fridays are either Beat the Heat or RSD depends on the week. Beat the Heat nights are limited to 3 runs and you wil probably stay past 9pm to get them. I just went to their site WTF do I have to register now to look at the schedule? I like the more structured nature there vs. GLD but with the bad prep and axing nights you have to start to think maybe they don't want to do it anymore.
Last year a basically stock LS1 car loopped on the 1-2 shift and ate wall, driver error sure but no way the track should ever be slick enough for a mild car like that to accomplish that feat. Then you have GLD where youy are going to sit in line for a long time.

Default end of wednesday nights

I was talking to a guy who works at WIR recently and he said that they were loosing a lot of money having the Wed. night thing. We tried to offer some options that would lower the costs, but he said that they would need over 100 cars just to break even, and if you were ever there on a wed night you know that there were no where near 100 cars. They should really try to find a way to make some money to pave the pits and then start advertising more.

I think once the RSD begins to gain popularity that it could boost wed. night attendance as well you know shake the car down before the money runs fridays.

Default From the Wausau Area

I am from the Wausau area and my car is in a couple of the pictures posted by 1FastZ28. I am currently going to school in stevens point, so spend most of my week down there. I hope to make atleast 3 stops on this years power tour, possibly more depending on my money situation at the moment.

I just got pulled over and got a fix it ticket by a State Trooper for no front license plate, anyone have any suggestions on how to attatch mine now, I have my bracket removed and I don't want to attach another one to my bumper and make any holes in my grill or bumper. I was told that it cannot be in the windshield, so that throws out that idea. Is there something that you can put the plate up when needed and maybe tuck down under the bumper when not, for show or w/e, thanks

Where did the nitpicking officer nab you? I guess I should count on getting stopped too one of these days. That sucks! Good thing they are keeping us all safe.

I go to school at the Northcentral Technical College and I was getting onto Highway 51 south towards the Cedar Creek area going home and he got me right by Bridge Street. Yeah good thing they are keeping us safe, I am just glad nothing was said about my exhaust though, license plate I can fix as long as I can find a bracket that I can put on when I want and either take off or fold down when I do not, exhaust I would not be so willing to do.

Good to know Barney Fife has nothing more pressing in Wausau. How pathetic
