Default Need Insurance help BAD!!!!

My car seems to fall through and insurance crack becasue i've been on the phone with 17 companies in the last 3 1/2 hours and everyone has turned me away.

I have a 99' TA that i have had over 28K in mods done to it recently. i have no prior insurance, a clean driving record and want to insure it for what i have into it plus the cars worth a rough total of around 38K-40K i have reciepts. collector car insurance won't have my business because i'm 25 and don't have thier ten years driving experiance requered. and regular insurance companies won't do stated value on a daily driven vehical. WHAT'S UP??????

I have no garage and my car sits in a general apartment buildings parking lot. i had my $6K motorcycle stolen last and i have decided i can't stand a loss of this magnitude if this were to happen again.

I need someone to show me the way...i tried to get ahold of the IL INSURANCE COMMiSSIONER they don't answer thier phones just like every other goverment agency for IL with no answering machines. what can i do?

i'm 25, single, renting, clear driving record, no prior insure, i've owned the car since october 04' on paper. i just want it insured in the case of theft or vandalism...

State farm should beable to help you. I know someone who has an Integra insured for $49,000 if its completely totaled out because of the amount done to it.

I moved to my wife's policy last year, otherwise I would still have William. Tell him I said hi.... John Ryan.

Never really seen the need for it since i always drove junks that were worth no more than $1K before and a motorcycle...as far as the other guy a few small things have came up and i've always negotiated my way through it.

Like i said i'm more/only worried about theft and/or vandalism at this point...

State farm gave me a quote of 6K+ a year SICK!! i'll give him a call but i think all are the same for the most part they're bound by underwritters who give me same numbers...

i'll also give Met Life Auto and country financial a call today...thanks!

You put $28,000 worth of mods into a 1999 car, you've already had a motorcycle stolen, you didn't check out the insurance implications before spending the money and you have no garage?

Just have to get quotes and see what your options are. Sometimes insuring a beater as a daily driver and the hotrod as a pleasure car can help.

not to rag on you, but having insurance is a law in illinois and if you get caught w/out it, its a $200.00 fine for the first offense and if you get caught again w/in 3 years w/out it, its a manditory $1000.00 fine and your license and license plates WILL be suspended for it. not trying to scare you or anything, but i've seen it happen before and you can say i'm an "expert" in the field.... just dont want to see you get in the trick bag, thats all...

Gee, let me weigh this for a second...hmmm....$200-$500 fine once a year or 1.4K a year in liability insurance a year. i've thought about this before when i was driving my beaters around and i came to the conclusion based on how many times i've been pulled over in the past 9 years that it is MUCH cheaper just to chance it.

I've been broke most of my life and learned to get by bending some of the less important rules. Otherwise it would have been impossible.

This situation is what many of us like to call, "just desserts." For many years, you chose to drive uninsured, and had you hit one of us, our insurance would have had to cover us. Honest folks like myself have to pay a higher amount for "uninsured motorist" premiums because of selfish people like you. For nine years you drive uninsured to save money while putting law-abiding folks at risk, then you drop nearly $30,000 in mods and think you'll get a free ride through this thread?

So while you had a "free lunch," on us for the past 9 years, you won't mind if we watch you get your just desserts.
